About Us

At Blue Turtle Childcare we strive to create an atmosphere that is warm, safe and inviting for the children and their families so that they feel at home and can find joy in learning together. Each child is viewed as unique, fully competent, and as equal partners in their learning. Their thoughts and ideas are respected and incorporated into the classroom curriculum. In addition, we strive to provide learning that is holistic, developing the interdependent facets of the child's mind, body, and soul. Our educators are deeply committed to providing high-quality, inclusive, and creative learning opportunities for the children. There is a maximum of 8 children to one Early Childhood Educator. Throughout the day, children will engage in a wide range of activities that include exploration and learning through play, creative art, music, project work and outdoor play.

Why a home-based childcare?

Current research is increasingly showing that home-based childcare environments are more home-like and cozy and this helps children have a greater sense of belonging and security. Children also experience less anxiety and early childhood educators are more likely to provide nurturing and responsive care. These qualities are linked to healthy childhood development and well-being.
